The advertisement includes the artist's name and a symbol that is associated with the artist which makes him more recognisable by his audience.
The black background makes the advert stand out yet is not as 'flashy' as other posters. Furthermore, the simplistic format of the poster conforms to the singer-songwriter convention of simplicity.
