How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation?
I used Adobe Premier Pro cs6 to edit my music video. I used the colour wheels to help emphasise the emotion and atmosphere such as blue undertones for when there's conflict and warm colours for when the conflict is resolved. Furthermore, I used it to edit the music video itself - combining narrative and performance to make the video more interesting and fit it into it's genre.
I used Photoshop as part of my research and planning. For example, I used it to re-create a digipak cover as well as to create my own digipak and poster.
I used YouTube to upload my final music video as well as my audience feedback for the music video. This platform gave me the most convenient and easy way to present my work. I also used YouTube to look at other artists' music videos to gain inspiration as well as seeing what conventions singer-songwriters conformed to or challenged which allowed me to get a better idea of what I wanted my own music video to look like.
Using Wix as a platform to present my work has allowed me to better organise my work as it has features that allowed me to put groups of related posts together but in a clear and non-cluttered manner. It is also more advanced which allows for more creative ways to make my website look more professional and to make it look like I want it to.
For the camera I used a Cannon 800d. It allowed me to get high quality footage in a way that allowed me to make the shots look like I wanted as the focus and other settings were easy to understand and use.
I also used other websites in my research, planning and evaluation for my work. YouTube was a huge part of my research and planning because it was the main source for me to find other singer-songwriter music videos to research and draw ideas from. I also used websites such as Emaze, Canva and GoConqr to present my work. These websites allowed me to have variety in the way I presented my wok which, I believe, made my website look more interesting. I also used Google Drive to create my survey for my audience research which allowed me to collect data quickly and efficiently.
